Where big things happen in a small school environment!

Gateway provides educational opportunities for students across grade levels TK-12, catering to a wide range of learners. The TK Programs at Gateway are designed to ensure success for even the youngest learners, with admission available for children who turn 5 after September 2nd. Additionally, Gateway operates two preschools in collaboration with the Shasta County Office of Education, serving children aged 3 to 5. To further support families, Gateway offers three after-school programs located at Buckeye School of the Arts, Grand Oaks Elementary School, and Shasta Lake School, extending their services until 6:00 pm. This comprehensive approach reflects Gateway's commitment to providing a nurturing and enriching educational environment for students at various stages of their academic journey.

At Gateway Unified School District, we take pride in offering a comprehensive range of resources and programs to foster a dynamic learning experience for our students. Through our commitment to providing 1 to 1 Technology, every student and teacher from Kindergarten through 12th grade receives access to Google Chromebooks and other learning devices. Our library centers have been modernized to create a state-of-the-art, technology-enhanced environment across all grade levels, ensuring students are well-prepared for success in both college and their future careers.

Gateway stands out in its dedication to college preparation with guaranteed admission to reputable institutions such as Chico State, College of the Siskiyous, Simpson University, Southern Oregon University, and Shasta College through the Shasta Promise program, provided students meet the necessary requirements.

Our diverse range of programs further enriches the educational experience, offering Career Technical Education and ROP Programs, as well as competitive sports programs for all ages, from Kindergarten to 12th grade. On-campus and off-campus opportunities abound, including but not limited to Culinary Arts/Food Service, STEM/Robotics, Digital Photography, Health CNA, Auto Technician, and much more.

Additionally, Gateway prides itself on fostering a vibrant community through various clubs and groups. Students can explore interests ranging from the arts to leadership and community service. Whether it's the Drama Club, Falcons for Fitness Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), or the Yearbook Committee, our array of clubs provides students with avenues to pursue their passions and develop valuable life skills.
